Terms and Conditions

1. INTRODUCTION

These Terms & Conditions govern all services provided by Possié Integrative Medicine, a private women’s health clinic based in Swords, Dublin.

By booking an appointment, attending the clinic, or engaging in services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

2. CLINICAL SCOPE OF PRACTICE

Possié Integrative Medicine provides:

  • Midwife-led women’s health consultations

  • Integrative, systems-based clinical assessments

  • Colonic hydrotherapy

  • Nutritional and lifestyle guidance

  • Adjunctive therapies within a clinically governed framework

All care is delivered within:

  • The professional scope of a Registered Midwife

  • Evidence-informed and clinically reasoned practice

  • Irish regulatory and professional standards

This clinic does not replace GP, consultant, or emergency medical care.

3. BOOKINGS & PAYMENT

  • All appointments must be booked in advance via our online booking system (Fresha)

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking

  • Appointments are only confirmed once payment is received

Prices are clearly listed and may be subject to periodic review.

4. CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING POLICY

We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Cancellations with more than 48 hours’ notice:
    → Appointment may be rescheduled or refunded

  • Cancellations within 48 hours:
    → Full fee is retained

  • Non-attendance (no-show):
    → Full fee is retained

This policy reflects the extended time allocated for each patient.

5. LATENESS POLICY

  • If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to avoid impacting subsequent appointments

  • Full consultation fees still apply

  • If you are significantly late, your appointment may be considered a non-attendance

6. MEDICAL INFORMATION & CONSENT

By attending the clinic, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete medical information

  • Disclose current medications, supplements, and relevant health conditions

  • Inform the practitioner of any changes in your health

All treatments and assessments are:

  • Explained clearly

  • Based on informed consent

  • Optional and agreed collaboratively

You may decline or stop any part of your treatment at any time.

7. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITY & LIMITATIONS

Possié Integrative Medicine provides:

  • Assessment

  • Clinical reasoning

  • Guidance and recommendations

However:

  • Outcomes cannot be guaranteed

  • Responses to treatment vary between individuals

Patients remain responsible for:

  • Following their care plan

  • Seeking additional medical care where appropriate

We may refer you to a GP, consultant, or emergency services where clinically indicated.

8. EMERGENCY CARE

This clinic does not provide emergency services.

If you experience:

  • Severe pain

  • Acute symptoms

  • Medical emergencies

You must contact:

  • Your GP

  • Out-of-hours GP service

  • Emergency services

9. COORDINATION WITH OTHER PROVIDERS

We support collaborative care.

If you are under:

  • GP

  • Consultant

  • Fertility clinic

  • Mental health services

We may work alongside your existing providers where appropriate.

However, we do not assume responsibility for external clinical decisions.

10. COLONIC HYDROTHERAPY

Colonic hydrotherapy is:

  • An adjunctive therapy

  • Only recommended where clinically appropriate

It is not suitable for all individuals.

A full assessment will be conducted prior to treatment.

You must disclose:

  • Medical history

  • Gastrointestinal conditions

  • Recent procedures or diagnoses

The practitioner reserves the right to decline treatment if contraindicated.

11. PRESCRIBING & MEDICATION

  • Prescribing services will be available following completion of the RCSI prescribing qualification

  • Current care is delivered within midwifery scope

Where appropriate, we may:

  • Recommend over-the-counter treatments

  • Provide supplement or herbal guidance

  • Refer to a GP or prescriber

Patients must not discontinue prescribed medication without consulting their doctor.

12. INTEGRATIVE & COMPLEMENTARY APPROACHES

This clinic integrates:

  • Conventional medical knowledge

  • Evidence-informed complementary approaches

These may include:

  • Nutritional support

  • Herbal or homeopathic recommendations

  • Nervous system-based approaches

These are not a replacement for medical treatment unless agreed within a broader care plan.

13. CONFIDENTIALITY & DATA PROTECTION

All patient information is:

  • Strictly confidential

Information will only be shared:

14. PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES

Any inappropriate behaviour towards staff will result in termination of care.

15. REFUSAL OF SERVICE

Possié Integrative Medicine reserves the right to:

  • Care falls outside scope of practice

  • Clinical safety cannot be ensured

  • There is non-compliance with terms

16. LIABILITY

While all care is delivered with clinical diligence:

  • Possié Integrative Medicine is not liable for outcomes resulting from:

    • Failure to follow advice

    • Withholding medical information

    • External medical care decisions
